Nieves decided to start up her own Fair Trade fashion label after designing for various leading fashion companies in England, Spain and Australia. She wanted to create an alternative. A label with designs to suit the high-street and manufacturing practices to support the welfare of producers and the environment.
She called the label bibico because bibi is both Nieves’ childhood name & the hindi word used to respectfully refer to women.
